Wesley moved to London from South Africa in 2005 and has been the founding member and drummer for The Darius Brubeck Quartet from 2007. The quartet has recording five albums to date alongside extensive worldwide tours and the latest release “Live in Poland” received a four star review in Downbeat Magazine. Other projects include UK based African musicians Netsayi, SA Gospel Singers, Afla Sackey and the late Lucky Ranku and Pinise Saul as well as extensive work with British New Orleans/Blues piano player TJ Johnson. Wesley studied Brazilian and African music under Barak Schmool as part of the F-ire Collective between 2007-2014 and was part of The Irreverents featuring Pete Truin on sax. The balance of his time is spent mixing and mastering in his studio as well as producing albums for his personal experimental duo “Euphorials”.
