Was on the prowl again last weekend and started with with a tasty spoonful of the souped-up folk of MATILDA MOON at the Jakes.

Went in search of a blues band at The Quayside but got the wrong week so, after a brief helping of FLY BY WIRE, ended at The Waterfront where OVERDRAWN were on.

Their eclectic repertoire passed from Hot Chocolate through Robert Cray to some footstomping blues – Dr Feelgood’s Repo Man in particular had a nice bit of bottlenecking much to my taste – and it’s pretty clear where their inclinations lie.
